Home Inspections

A residential home inspection is a comprehensive, visual inspection of the entire building envelope and its systems, components, and materials used in construction. I complete a thorough evaluation of the entire building including the visual portions of the structure, the foundation and crawlspace, the roof, attic crawlspace, exteriors, interiors, garage, electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC systems and any non portable appliances. The inspection also includes an evaluation of the building's exterior vegetation and grading and their effects on the building. 4 Point and Wind Mitigation Inspections are also available as an ancillary service. With these inspections I also help you identify certain structural features of the home that help you qualify for home owners insurance discounts, or issues that can make it difficult or costly to qualify for home owner's insurance.

At Southwind Inspection Services, all home inspections are performed by Marcel Simons, a Florida Licensed Home Inspector (#HI5105) and State Certified Building Contractor (#CBC 1258397). I adhere to the strictest standards for continuous education and a superior code of ethics for inspectors. I am also a member in good standing with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI #11102706).
